Shaping the Future of Building Commissioning

We're passionate about supporting the next generation of commissioning providers. That's why we created the BCxA Scholarship Foundation in 2013 to help advance the education of individuals who are pursuing, or plan to pursue, a career in building commissioning.

Our Mission

The Foundation's mission is to encourage and motivate qualified students, continuing education candidates, and industry newcomers to pursue study in fields of building science, including engineering, architecture, building construction, building performance, and other fields related to building commissioning. With the support of a Foundation scholarship, recipients can take a big educational step toward their goal of working in a field that ensures the safety, efficiency, and resiliency of the built environment.

Support us

The Foundation is funded by charitable donations and by fees collected at our Annual Golf Tournament, which is held in conjunction with the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA) Annual Conference. We invite you to help us support the next generation of building commissioning with a tax-deductible donation to the BCxA Scholarship Foundation.

Your gift will help qualified and motivated individuals receive the education and training they need to make meaningful contributions to a field with tangible benefits for businesses, families, and communities.

Give Today

Scholarships

At BCxA, we seek every opportunity to advance the field of building commissioning and give commissioning providers, engineers, specialists, and industry stakeholders the resources they need to thrive. We're proud to advance best practices, offer a broad range of education and training opportunities, play a leading role in shaping industry policies and standards, and promote the benefits of building commissioning to achieve buildings that work. We're also passionate about supporting the next generation of commissioning providers. That's why we created the BCxA Scholarship Foundation to help advance the education of those who are pursuing or plan to pursue a career in building commissioning.

Michael R. Chelednik Memorial Golf Tournament

Our annual golf tournament, a key source of funding for the BCxA Scholarship Foundation, honors Michael Chelednik, a leading architect and building commissioning professional who passed away on April 4, 2016. An avid golfer, Mike helped establish our annual tournament, and we are proud to continue it in his memory.

Mike joined the BCxA in 2004, served on the BCxA Board for seven years, was the BCxA Scholarship Foundation Board Chair for three years, and served on the Building Commissioning Certification Board. He was an active volunteer with a passion for his work as an architect and was a strong supporter of BCxA and its mission. Our annual golf tournament takes place in conjunction with the BCxA Annual Conference, held every fall.
