BCxA Announces Keynote Speaker – Major General Mike Walsh, (Retired)


BCxA is pleased to announce that Major General Michael Walsh (retired), an expert in resource management, resiliency and emergency response, will provide the keynote address at the BCxA’s commissioning conference October 15-17, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Walsh, Executive Vice President/Resilience Solutions Group Manager for Dewberry, is the director of water resources and coastal resiliency. He served as the Deputy Commanding General Civil and Emergency Operations for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Washington D.C., where he supervised all Civil Works activities nationwide Mr. Walsh was a principal advisor to the Chief of Engineers and the Assistant Secretary of the Army and was responsible for USACE emergency response and FEMA support including the successful responses to Hurricane Isaac, Super Storm Sandy and the immediate actions on the Mississippi River when drought threatened the nation’s barge traffic.
