Healthcare facilities: pressurization design and commissioning

Architects and engineers are encouraged to attend a panel discussion of professional engineers experienced in the design and commissioning of pressurization requirements in healthcare facilities, the AIA Healthcare Knowledge Community April Design Dialogue on Tuesday, April 9th at 5:30pm.

Sponsored by BCxA Corporate Member Grumman/Butkus and hosted by SmithGroup, the presentation is free of charge to all attendees.

“The 2014 FGI Guidelines/Standard 170-2013 and the CDC Recommendations for Environmental Infection Control provide requirements for pressurized environments, but how does this affect the building design process? What is the evaluation process and accountability of the design team after construction is completed?”

An open Q&A session follows immediately so that attendees may ask the panel any questions related to the engineering design and commissioning of healthcare facilities. To submit questions before the event, please join the AIA Healthcare Knowledge Community group on LinkedIn and post under the “Ask an Engineer” comment thread.
