Philadelphia Building Tune-Up Law Passes Unanimously


As of November 21, owners of commercial buildings larger than 50,000 SF in Philadelphia are now required to conduct regular building tune-ups to improve energy efficiency performance, which will advance the city’s efforts to achieve its clean energy goals. Philadelphia is a member of the City Energy Project, a joint initiative of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) established in 2014. The map below shows the 20 U.S. cities involved in the continuing program.
